Founded in 1919, DuBois Battery Company has a legacy of resilience and innovation that spans over a century. The company began in the western United States, later relocating to Massillon, Ohio in the late 1930s, and then to Connecticut in the 1940s. In 1951, William Robert Day acquired the company and moved operations to DuBois, Pennsylvania in 1954. Under his leadership, and later his son Fred Day’s stewardship beginning in 1981, the company continued to grow. In 2007, DuBois Battery was acquired by Energy Products Company of Sterling Heights, Michigan. A new chapter began in 2011 when the business changed hands once again and relocated to New Castle, Pennsylvania in 2012. Today, DuBois Battery Company remains dedicated to delivering high-quality battery solutions while honoring a century-long tradition of excellence.
